Having minimal time constraints when working from home is one of the most appealing aspects of ditching your office job, the 9-5 lifestyle and all related hassles that can make your life miserable.

The key when working from home is that “home” can be practically anywhere on the planet thanks to telecommunication technologies and online payment systems.

Before you pack and move to a remote island in the Pacific, keep in mind that you need a steady workflow established before you take a leap of faith and embark on an adventure.

Although it can be debatable what steady workflow is, it is generally agreed that at least 5 hours a day of effective working can keep you solvent in most parts of the world, particularly on tropical islands.

Another very important element of taking your work with you as you travel is the time difference between you and your clients. There is literally no point of traveling halfway around the globe if you have to be up at 3 or 4 in the morning working. Choose your destination with this in mind and pick months you’ll travel in accordance with your workload. The smaller the workload the more time you’ll have to enjoy your destination.

The workforce has changed so much over the last decade that an increasing number of employees and consultants are working outside of office and this just might be the right time for you to jump on the bandwagon.
