7 Easy Steps to Get Started Selling on Ebay Today

Step #3: List your item

Now that you have an Ebay account and know what you’ll be selling, it’s time to list your item. This is not something you want to rush through.

You’ll want to take twenty to thirty minutes to set up your item correctly.

Often a sale is made because of the seller’s attention to detail. That’s why it’s important that you set aside a few minutes to really tackle this step.

Start by signing into your Ebay account. You should see a link near the top of the page that reads ‘Sell’.

Click this link and you’ll be directed to the selling page. On this page, you should see a button that reads ‘List your item’. Click the button and you’ll be taken to a page where you can enter your product’s details. Type a brief description of your item and select a category.

Once you’ve done that, list the important details about your item like the size, color, or condition it’s in. For some items, Ebay offers a stock photo.

There’s nothing wrong with using a stock photo but if you have the option, try to upload a few photos of the product you’re selling.

Allowing potential buyers to see your product increases the chance that they’ll bid on it.
