It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out as a stay-at-home writer or you are a veteran in the business, these tips will definitely help you succeed in this niche, make your work easier and help you enjoy your awesome job even more.

Last time we talked about why client triage is important, now we are talking about client communication.

Communicate, Communicate, Communicate

Not all people know much about your line of work. In fact, your clients will usually be pretty unaware of how things work within your niche, which is why you need to make the bridge between the two worlds.

Help your clients understand their own work and try to make sure you are both on the same page.

As DailyWritingTips.com suggests, “some companies and organizations assign project management to people with insufficient aptitude or time for managing projects successfully.”

This is why it is up to you to “tactfully suggest more efficient procedures or more effective design, presentation, or organization, regardless of the person’s apparent level of expertise.”

Always ask what else you can do to help with the project. Clients end up having problems with their project, if you offer a helping hand and follow through with it, you will soon become much more than just a contractor.
